Ahhhhh......girls' weekend.
Last weekend, I went with my high school gals to the beach for a quick little get away. As we convened together again this year, I realized so many things. First of all, time and distance can both change and benefit a friendship. Secondly, you never really know how hard you can laugh until you are with your oldest friends. And lastly, a friendship that can stand the test of time is priceless.
Cori, Wendy, Diedra, Heather and myself have been friends for as long as I can remember. I have probably shared more things with these women than I have shared with Josh. We have shared boyfriends, breakups, birthdays, graduations, weddings, babies, and countless other events, big and small. We have moved away, came back, and transitioned through all sorts of things. But the one thing that remains constant is our love for each other. We have each grown up and maybe even grown different from each other, but we are still together through it all! And the laughter, oh my, the laughter!!!!! How refreshing it is to leave a hectic house behind and get together to just laugh! It is truly the best medicine for whatever ails you!
These women have been my strength through so much. I am humbled by the privilege to call them "FRIENDS". We may grow up, grow old, grow Lord knows what else, but we will always have each other!!!!
